High Churn — flat close with mixed participation

A flat index close masked a mixed tape where IT-led pockets held up while cyclicals softened, keeping the session in a low-volatility churn rather than a clean risk-on or risk-off signal.

Participation was mixed rather than broad, with advancers at 45% even as the index finished flat. The session read more like two-way trade than a unified tape, with gains and declines coexisting without a strong directional push.

What was different today was the combination of a flat close alongside still-sub-50DMA participation, with only 40% of names above their 50DMA. That contrast kept the day feeling more like internal rotation and repair attempts than a decisive trend day.
